Touch is nothing else but Purity. Everywhere, we need to mention the Purity/Touch of the Metal sold or purchased. The importance of touch can be seen throughout the software. Without the Touch Feature, other features that are dependent on it will not work
In Inventory and Supply Chain, we can see many functions when we bring the cursor on Configuration. Out of which one is Inventory setup. Clicking this we get the following page.
On clicking the Touch function, as shown above, the following is the screen.
When we want to add a new Touch click this (+) sign, marked on the top.
We can change the Status (Active/Inactive) with the help of this switch.
We have a field by which we can make this touch as default in Tally.
If we click the Action Button, we get different options. From here we can View, Edit, and Delete the Touch. There is an option known as Copy. With the help of this, we can make a duplicate copy of this touch and give it another name. There is also an option known as “Changes”, with the help of this we can view the creator’s and Updator’s details.
On clicking (+) sign as per the above figure we get the following pop-up.

You must select the Master Group from the drop-down, under which this new Touch lies.

The Sales Purity is shown in the bill i.e. price-list default setting.
You have to select from the dropdown, under which ornament type it lies.
If you want this to show in stock, then select YES otherwise NO.
What do you want to show in the stamp on the ornament, If the purity is 22K/ 24K/ 92/ 991 then you have to write here as per your selection. This purity will be shown at the time of Billing.
Is this Touch meant for Order or Inventory purposes? If this Touch is only for Order purposes, select YES otherwise NO.
This is only applicable to Silver Metal. It is the duplicate name of the touch.
This purity will be shown at the time of Tag Creation.
Is not in use now, pl ignore it.
From Manufacturing, you can create Touch Colour, which will be coming in the drop-down. You have to select the Touch Colour for this Touch.
If you want to show this Touch what you have written in (9) in Bill, select Yes otherwise NO.
If you want this Touch to be shown in the Today Rate display, select YES otherwise NO.
If you want to display the Touch in the GST Report, then select YES otherwise NO.
You have to select the Metal from the drop-down.
We can give our order of sequence.
We can select the status from the dropdown (Active/Deactive)
If this Touch is Fine Gold then YES otherwise NO.
If in the Summary Report, if we want to show the Touch then YES otherwise NO.
This Conversion Ratio is regarding manufacturing. We have to put the conversion ratio for this Touch.
In BOM if you want to add this touch as default select Yes.
If you want to add this Touch in Mobile Apps, select Yes otherwise No.
If this Touch is used in Order Apps. select Yes, otherwise No.
We have to enter the minimum purity in case of manufacturing.
We have to enter the maximum purity in the case of manufacturing.
We have to enter the Touch, which we want as the manufacturing default touch.
Tage Print code is used for specific conditions for Tag Print.
In this field, we have to select the item for this touch which will be synchronized with Tally.
We have to select yes or No, if pieces is required for this Touch.
We have to enter the Touch which we want to show for the sales bill.
We can upload the Photo by clicking this field.
After this save it. Thus we can create a new Touch.
